I have a brother in law, and his mother died at 91 last week.
During this three days holiday I had several plans to spend with my friends but I canceled some to manage the funeral.
Actually I didn’t attend the funeral.
My husband heard from his brother in law that it should be a small family funeral, then he was not supposed to attend it at first. (The last time my husband met that lady was his sister’s wedding. It’s been 28 years or so.) But later he realized “If I didn’t go, Okan wouldn’t be back home. The funeral hall seems to be far from the station. Although my sister needs to go to a crematory, Okan doesn’t. Okan and I are gonna leave there around noon before they start going to a crematory.”
Actually my husband had come back home around 1pm. I heard the funeral hall is located at the western end of Kobe city, almost in Akashi city.
