Yasuhiro Yamane (Y2) is a Japanese musician.
He made his debut in 1993 and burst onto the Japanese music scene.
“Get Along Together” is still sung by many people today, having sold 1.8 million copies.
ヤスヒロ ヤマネ（以下Y2）は日本のミュージシャンです。
1993年にデビューし、日本のミュージックシーンに登場しました。「Get Along Together」が180万枚も売れ、現在も多くの人に歌われています。
“When this song comes out on CD, we’ll be the first to buy it.”
That was said by a couple of his colleagues who were the model for the song. At a small izakaya, Y2 pointed out a date course to him who didn’t know Osaka. He was, so to speak, a cupid in love.
This was the song he sang at their wedding, “Because I’m not a good talker and can’t give a witty greeting.”
The debut song, which sold 1.8 million copies, was actually “half self-produced,” using money collected from cancelling company savings and other sources.
「CDになったら、俺らが一番に買うから」。そう言ってくれたのは、デビュー曲『GET ALONG TOGETHER』のモデルになった会社の同期カップルだった。小さな居酒屋で、大阪を知らない彼にデートコースを指南した。いわば恋のキューピッド。二人の結婚式で「口下手で、気の利いたあいさつができないから」と、心を込めて歌った曲だった。180万枚の大ヒットを記録したデビュー曲も、実は「会社の積み立てを解約したりしてかき集めたお金で、半分自主制作みたいな感じで作った」ものだった。Quote:読売新聞夕刊 2002
Originally he wanted to make his debut with a band.
However, after graduating from university, the band members had to leave, and the band stopped its activities.
元々彼はバンドでデビューを目指していたそうです。
しかし大学卒業後メンバーが抜けることになり、
バンドは活動停止となったそうです。
しかし、当時のファンの方から手紙が届き、
When he got a job and started working, he was busy with little time to spare. As if swept away by the daily grind, his dream was about to disappear.
Then one day, a letter arrived.
It said, “You haven’t had any live concerts recently. My power is small, but I will support you as hard as I can, so please do your best.”It was not an easy task.
He hired a backing band of his acquaintances and paid all studio fees and band members’ travel expenses. All tickets were sold by hand.
While continuing his concert activities, he spent many days making demo tapes and visiting record manufacturers in Tokyo.
Demo tapes were sent to the makers every day. More often than not, he could not even meet the makers’ staff when he brought the tapes to them in person.
Finally, one record manufacturer said they could make his CD.
However, it was impossible for him to use their studio.
The manufacturer’s condition was irregular:
“Give us the master tape of the finished recording and we’ll press it and put it in a CD store.”
However, it was a great opportunity for him.
Every night after work, he gets in his car and drives two hours to a friend’s studio.
The recording environment was not good. The budget was also unimaginably small, and of course he had to pay out of his own pocket.
But it was his first time to have his own album released on a major label.
It was a big bet for him.
“Would I be able to start my professional career from here, or would I end up here?”
The road leading to the studio must have seemed like a road leading to a dream to him.
”BACK TO THE TIME” was the album that he recorded at this time. His debut album.
就職して働き始めると、ほとんどゆとりのない忙しい毎日が続いた。日々の生活に押し流されるように、彼の夢は消えかけていた。そんなある日、一通の手紙が届いた。
「最近ライブがないですね。私の力は小さいけれど、一生懸命応援しますから頑張ってください。」
決して楽なことではなかった。
知り合いにバックバンドを依頼し、スタジオ代やバンドメンバーの交通費を全額負担し、チケットも全て手売りで捌いた。
ライブ活動を続けながらデモテープを作っては東京のレコードメーカーへ足を運ぶ日が続いた。
メーカーには毎日のようにデモテープが送られてくる。直接持って行ったとしても、会うことすらできないことの方が多かった。
ようやく、ひとつのメーカーが作ってもいい、と言ってくれた。
とはいえ、そのメーカーのスタジオを使うのはとうてい無理だった。つまり、レコーディングを終えたマスターテープをくれればプレスしレコード店に置いてあげる。という変則的なものであった。
しかし、彼にとっては大きなチャンスだった。
毎晩、会社が終わると車に乗り込み、2時間かけてスタジオへと向かう。
レコーディング環境は決して良くはない。予算も現在では考えられないほど少なく、もちろん全て彼の持ち出しだ。
それでも、初めて自分のアルバムがメジャーレーベルからリリースされるのだ。
彼にとっては大きな賭けだった。ここからプロの道を歩み始めることができるのか、それとも、このまま終わってしまうのか。
スタジオへ続く道が、彼には夢へと続く道に思えていたに違いない。
このときレコーディングしたのが、「BACK TO THE TIME」。彼のデビューアルバムである。

Even though he borrowed the name of a major label and released an independent disc, there was no way he could collaborate with TV programs. With only a few single CDs in record stores, his activities were severely limited.

メーカーの宣伝費もまったくなく、自分が動くしかなかった。 テレビやFMに出演することもできない。訪問すれば一度は流してくれる有線放送を回る日が続いた。ライブイベントは、客席の付いたステージではなく、全てがストリート・ライブだった。それでも、目の前を通り過ぎていく人々に心を込めて歌う。たったひとりでもいい。立ち止まってくれれば…この思いが伝われば…。

A remixed version of this song was recorded and it swept the top of the Japanese music charts.
Additionally, the song has won several awards.
その後、「Get Along Together」は徐々に知られるようになり、Y2は会社を退職。
Re-mix版がレコーディングされ、日本の音楽チャートのトップを席巻しました。
加えてこの曲は様々な賞を受賞しています。
大阪発の新結婚式ソングが『乾杯』を超えた
結婚式ソングといえば長渕剛の『乾杯』が定番だったが、今大阪から「新定番」として名乗りを上げてきた歌がある。大阪出身の新人アーティスト山根康広（26）が作詞作曲したスローバラード『Get Along Together』だ。
大阪の結婚式場で最近、一番歌われているというこの曲は、
「2年前、友人の結婚式のため式の前日にあわてて作った」
という作品である。今年1月になってCDリリースされたが、すぐには話題にのぼらなかった。が、そのシンプルな演奏とハイトーンで語られる甘いメロディが、大阪有線の女性モニターたちの耳にとまり、リクエストの合間によく流されるようになる。やがて「曲名は？」の問い合わせの電話が入るようになり、人気もジワジワと上昇。京都営業所で1位となったのを皮切りに全国チャートでも7月の最終週には20位にまで順位を上げてきた。関西ローカルから火がついて全国ヒットになった作品としては、THE虎舞竜の『ロード』が有名だが、この歌『Get Along Together』も同じコースをたどる気配が濃厚だ。カラオケの新譜にもこの7月から登場、カラオケファンにも急速に浸透しつつある。
